LUXURY GOLF & YACHT ADVENTURE

Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur

Provence in southern eastern France is a land of small hillside villages, topped with fortified castles and cities of art and culture, fields of sweet-smelling lavender and groves of ancient olive trees, not to mention, home to many of France’s most picturesque and well-renowned golf courses. There is no better way to explore the historical province than along the coastline of the azure blue seas.

As for your ‘apres-golf’, Provence is a land of light and celebration; a region to savour, golf and live. Cruise along the coast in your luxury yacht, taking in all that is to offer along the way.

SAMPLE ITINERARY

DAY 1

Fly in to Nice Cote d’Azur Airport and enjoy the short chauffer driven ride to Cap Ferrat, an escape of calm and greenery set outside Monaco. Before embarking, pay a visit to the historical Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, a Four Seasons property.

The rest of the day can be spent winding down on your luxury yacht. As the sun sets, enjoy your first on-board dinner, sampling the catch of the day before retreating for the evening.

DAY 2

After a restful night’s sleep, it is time to cruise down to Antibes, where guests can go ashore to visit the Musee Picasso and have lunch. Sail on to Cannes, anchoring by Illes de Lerins for the night. The yacht’s tender will take you to the islands, where you can hike and visit the Fort Royal and Musee de la Mer.

Have dinner on board – and enjoy the view!

DAY 3

After an early morning breakfast, it is time to disembark your yacht for one night and head to Europe’s award-winning Terre Blanche Golf Resort. The morning will be spent at the Albatros Golf Performance Centre, where Jean-Jacques Rivet will take you through the ‘Biomecaswing’ software. This Centre is the only one in Europe and analyses your body shape, posture, mobility and intensity of each movement to build a full understanding of your swing so that you can refine and optimise your game.

After lunch, visit Chateau d’Esclans for a spot of wine tasting where you will get to sample the world-renowned ‘Whispering Angel’ Rose wine. If cooking is your thing, why not try a cooking lesson in the picturesque hilltop village of Seillans at the Institut Gastronomie Riviera. The early evening can be spent in the luxurious Spa before enjoying dinner at the Michelin star restaurant, Le Faventia

DAY 4

It’s time to put that training session to the test this morning, where you will play the Chateau Course, ranked in the top 25 best courses in Europe and host to the European Senior Tour Open.

After your round, it is time to return to your yacht to enjoy a late lunch ashore on Ile Sainte-Marguerite before sailing onwards to Saint-Tropez. The yacht might berth in this historic and glamorous port for the evening, or anchor in the bay for the night. Enjoy dinner under the stars on your yacht.

DAY 5

After breakfast on board, spend the morning wandering the narrow streets of St Tropez.

Spend the afternoon playing with the yacht’s water toys before sampling one of St Tropez’s many fabulous restaurants in the evening; the crew can book you into Le Girelier on the harbour or try the chef’s menu at the three-Michelin-star restaurant La Vague d’Or.

If you wish, the Head Professional, Alexis Noudeu, will gladly accompany you around the course to give you all the tips you may need around this wonderful course.

Enjoy a refreshing drink and some nibbles on the courtyard by the 18th green before returning via helicopter to your yacht. Enjoy dinner under the stars tonight.

DAY 7

Vidauban Golf Club is today’s destination and what a way to round off the trip. Vidauban is one of the most exclusive and private golf courses in the world and access is not easy. Ranked the 14th best course in Europe, it is sure to be a tough test but no doubt a memorable one!

Your crew might arrange a private tour at the Vernet Foundation Museum in the afternoon or perhaps you want to fit in some last-minute shopping. Then it’s back to the real world having played some of the most exclusive and breath-taking golf there is to offer in the South of France.
